Jun 4, 2012 -
WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Cynthia Lummis is seeking college students and recent graduates interested in experiencing our government’s legislative branch first hand to apply for fall-term internships.
Chosen applicants will spend four months in our Nation’s Capitol learning the legislative process, attending briefings and committee hearings, interacting one-on-one with Wyoming constituents, and providing private tours of the Capitol building.
“This is a great opportunity to see the behind the scenes of how Congress works,” Rep. Lummis said.
Interested candidates are encouraged to apply through Congressman Lummis’ website at http://lummis.house.gov/ConstituentServices/Internships.htm supplying a current resume, cover letter and writing sample for consideration. All chosen applicants receive a monthly stipend for living expenses. The Lummis office is also willing to work with colleges for necessary credit requirements.
